Saturday 23 June

Celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

at our

‘1950s’ Garden Party

To make this a very special event we need YOUR help!

Please look at the list at the back of church, and sign up for the ways you would like to help. We will be having another planning meeting soon, and it will be very helpful to know how many volunteers we have and what they can offer.

We would also like to share your memories of the 1950s – please let Kate have them as soon as possible – by email if at all possible.

Some observations on our Christian walk....

A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.

Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.

Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.

Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no  point.

Prayer is more than meditation. In meditation the source of strength is one’s self. When one prays he goes to a source of strength greater than his own.
